What the session includes
In a 60 MINUTES virtual session we review your skin history, current topical products and any prescriptions you’re using. Through live video and submitted photos we examine texture, dryness, sensitivity, and visible concerns. The appointment focuses on practical adjustments rather than procedures, so expect product-by-product discussion and clear next steps you can implement at home.
We’ll discuss goals such as prevention, maintenance, or addressing irritation and how your routine fits Scottsdale’s desert climate and outdoor lifestyle. Recommendations consider your schedule—commuters, early-morning hikers, and golfers often need simple, durable morning routines. If you’re local, we’ll also explain how the $50 fee can be applied toward future product purchases at the clinic.
How recommendations are formed
Recommendations are shaped by observable skin characteristics, the products you currently use, and the topical prescriptions you list. We weigh trade-offs such as potency versus tolerance and morning versus evening application. Because Scottsdale’s sun and dry air affect barrier function, product timing and sunscreen consistency are factors we explicitly address during the assessment.
We also factor in lifestyle constraints — time available for multi-step routines, exposure from outdoor activities, and product accessibility across Scottsdale and nearby service areas. If a suggested product isn’t practical for your routine or budget, we propose alternatives and explain expected maintenance steps, not guaranteed outcomes, so you can make informed choices.
Preparing for your virtual visit
Before your 60 MINUTES appointment, gather your current cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen, active serums, and any topical prescriptions. Create a simple list or take clear photos of product labels, including ingredient lists when available. Good lighting—natural daylight when possible—and a quiet space help us evaluate texture and coloration more accurately during video calls.
Have questions ready about timing, layering, and how prescriptions interact with over-the-counter products. Arrive on schedule to use the full hour; many local clients book around morning hikes, golf tee times, or school drop-off windows. If you live outside our immediate area, we can still make recommendations but the $50 fee applies as consultation-only.
